Youth Entrepreneurship Fund

Loan Service Overview

The Youth Entrepreneurship Fund is a dynamic financing and empowerment program established by Capital Plus Limited (CPL) to nurture the ideas, talent, and ambition of Malawi’s youth. Recognizing that the youth population is both the country’s greatest asset and one of its most vulnerable groups, this initiative aims to unlock opportunities for young people aged 18–35 who have the passion to start or grow a business but lack the necessary financial resources, mentorship, or skills to do so.

With youth unemployment and underemployment remaining critical challenges in Malawi, CPL’s Youth Entrepreneurship Fund takes a holistic approach—blending startup capital, business training, and hands-on mentorship to transform promising ideas into viable, scalable enterprises. The program targets both urban and rural youth, with a particular emphasis on women, graduates, informal workers, and those from marginalized backgrounds.

This fund not only promotes self-employment but also contributes to job creation, economic diversification, and local innovation—making it a cornerstone of inclusive economic transformation.
